Marca’s claim that Liverpool have already had a €75m Kylian Mbappe bid rejected by Monaco is false, according to the Echo.

The more trusted source has rejected their claims, which sent Liverpool fans into overdrive, stating that while we’re interested in the phenomenal teenager – no offer has been made.

As a result, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all desperate for his services, so the news that Liverpool had submitted such a monstrous bid shocked us all.

It was, however, untrue, and our chances of acquiring Mbappe, considering the other teams interested and the price it’ll take to buy him, are slim to zero…

We also went for Ousmane Dembele last summer, but Mbappe’s countryman chose Borussia Dortmund instead.

The fact we’re targeting the world’s best youngsters is promising, but it would be nice to see us get such a deal over the line this summer!

Champions League qualification will make it much easier, of course.
