Premier League give LFC end of season award

Liverpool have won this season’s Fair Play award, having not picked up a single red card the entire campaign, Sky Sports reports.

In total, we collected just 54 yellow cards, which is less than two per game – a very good record – considering Lucas guarantees one every time he plays!

Bournemouth and Spurs were closest to us in the Fair Play standings, while Watford were easily worst – collecting 84 yellows and five reds.

Brilliantly, Liverpool are not keeping the £20,000 prize money, but are instead using it to shave season ticket prices for those aged between 17 and 21.

Finishing top of the Fair Play Table used to merit a spot in the Europa League, but that ruling was scrapped in 2015, another season in which we came top and used the money in the same manner we are this time.

Since Jurgen Klopp arrived, our discipline has been so good because we’ve usually got the ball! Only Manchester City kept more of it than us this term – and it could well be Pep Guardiola’s team that we’re challenging for next year’s Premier League title with.
