Liverpool’s post-season friendly against Sydney FC, as expected, started with a spectacular version of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, courtesy of a packed ANZ Stadium in Australia.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently in the middle of their end-of-season game only 11 hours after making the trip down under. The special occasion has been marked by the involvement of club legends, youth stars and first team regulars with Liverpool celebrating their 125th anniversary.
Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher are both currently in action having started the game whilst other former Reds Daniel Agger and Steve McManaman are on the bench.
The passionate and highly-regarded Australian Kopites succeeded in living up to such high expectations as they produced a memorable rendition of the club’s famous anthem- something many back here in the UK had anticipated.
A great way to top off a successful conclusion to the Premier League season.
