Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez could turn to Liverpool as he looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
Reds youngster Sheyi Ojo is one of many wingers the Spaniard is considering moves for this summer, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.
Injury setbacks limited Sheyi Ojo’s playing time last season as a number of youth stars were handed first team opportunities by Jurgen Klopp.
The winger remains to be highly-regarded by supporters but has as of yet failed to impress consistently nor has he been able to stay fit long enough to even have any chance of doing so.
A loan spell playing under Benitez, were it to become available, could be a valuable chance for the 19-year-old to gain some much needed experience in England’s top flight. Though he could well prove to be a useful squad player for Liverpool next season, regular first team football is what he perhaps needs at the moment and something that could set him on the right path towards truly unearthing and polishing his raw talent.
It poses as a deal that Klopp would certainly consider in the hope that the player would enjoy a productive campaign under an experienced manager before returning as an exciting option for the Reds.
Ojo is currently out in South Korea where he is preparing with England for their last 16 clash in the U20 World Cup.
