Liverpool complete deal for Bosnian midfielder on long-term contract

Liverpool have signed professional terms with Dal Varesanovic, now the Bosnian wonderkid has turned 16.

We had an agreement with the midfielder that once he became of age, a contract would be signed, and that’s what happened yesterday.

Varesanovic had played for FC Sarajevo, but will move to Merseyside permanently and begin work under Steven Gerrard for the Under-18s.

He can play on the left or right, but is most comfortable in a central, attacking midfield position.

The teenager looks about 13, but is technically outstanding and you can see what he’s all about in the below video.

We won’t be seeing him anywhere near the first-team for some time, but Jurgen Klopp has proven with his use if Ben Woodburn and Trent Alexander-Arnold that if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.

This will be huge motivation for all our youngsters, many of whom will be involved in pre-season fixtures for Klopp’s team.

Here he is in action…
