It looks like Mo Salah is on his way to Liverpool, once we finally settle on a fee with Roma.
The winger’s friend Mido, who represented Egypt himself, as well as Spurs and Salah’s current club Roma, is certain the transfer will go through.
“Salah will definitely move to Liverpool,” Mido said, reported in the Echo. “It’s just a matter of time.”
“Liverpool’s style of play suits Salah perfectly and Klopp’s style suits him.”
Liverpool are locked in negotiations for the 24-year-old, who’s already agreed personal terms of £90k/week, with the Serie A giants – who want close to £40m.
We’ve so far offered £28m, but with Roma needing money by the end of June due to FFP regulations, a bid of around £35m plus add-ons should get it done.
Salah bagged 19 goals last term for his Italian side, who at one point looked like they were pushing Juventus for the title.
He’ll add pace, goals and work-rate to our frontline, but more importantly, enable Coutinho to move into a more creative, central position.
With a returning Jordan Henderson and a likely central midfield arrival, Klopp will have plenty more options at his disposal for 2017/18.
