Mo Salah encourages Roma to accept Liverpool offer

Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Mo Salah, now the Egyptian has told Roma he wants to leave.

His Italian club want £40m, but Liverpool are rumoured to have offered £35m plus £4m in potential add-ons (Guardian) for the 24-year-old flyer.

Now Salah has actively informed Roma he wants the move, having already agreed to £90k/week wages with us, finalising the transfer will hopefully be a formality.

Salah flopped at Chelsea, but in recent years, so have Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Juan Cuadrado. The fact he got such limited opportunities is more a reflection of Chelsea than himself, and you can be sure he’s returned to England a much, much better player – having registered 43 goals in two and a half seasons in Italy.

The thought of the superb Sadio Mane and soon to arrive Salah on our flanks is a mouthwatering prospect – and one that will hopefully help us break down defensive sides: such a problem in 2016/17.
