Despite the fact Coutinho signed a five-year contract extension in January, there’s still been countless rumours that he’ll depart for Barcelona – either this summer or next – but unlike some before him, the player has never given any indication he wants to leave.
In fact, he’s constantly reassured Liverpool fans that he’s happy on Merseyside, despite countless ex-players suggesting his future lies in Catalonia.
To us though, Coutinho is very happy on Merseyside, and he proved that during his summer holiday to his homeland yesterday…
Our 25-year-old bought a new Liverpool kit for his friends and family and hosted an impromptu football match!

Next season, we expect to see Coutinho used in a more central role, with Mo Salah likely to come in and take one of the spots on the wing.
From here, Phil can pick up possession more easily, but also use his wonderful through-ball – something which is restricted when he starts on the left.
