AC Milan have bizarrely signed Liverpool mega-flop

Fail at Liverpool, fail at Sunderland, get yourself relegated to the Championship… And sign for… Newly cash-rich AC Milan?!

Fabio Borini has landed on his feet!

According to the Daily Mail, AC Milan have secured a £1m loan deal for the 26-year-old Italian ‘striker’ who’s scored a grand total of 15 league goals in his past five seasons – at a cool average of three per term.

If they want to, Milan can make the deal permanent for £5.3m at the end of 2017/18.

We find this deal all the more surprising as Milan have made some very, very exciting moves in the market already this summer. Not only have they acquired ‘The next Yaya Toure’ (who was linked to Liverpool) in Franck Kessie, but top left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, Argentine centre-back Mateo Musachio – and brilliant Porto forward Andre Silva as well – all for around a £70m total so far.

Borini will have to quickly reach the levels he once hit at Roma six seasons ago to get any game-time, but we wish him well. He always gave his all for Liverpool, but was just lacking in elite talent.
