£8m star leaves Portuguese training camp to sign for Liverpool

It looks like Andrew Robertson’s transfer to Liverpool could be edging closer…

According to BBC Humberside journalist David Burns, the Scottish international has been allowed to leave Hull’s Portuguese training camp – presumably with the aim of sealing his Liverpool transfer.

Robertson is 23-years-old and performed admirably for the Tigers last year, despite their Premier League relegation.

He’s very quick and importantly, left-footed – making him a likely direct replacement for Alberto Moreno – who’s surely set to to depart before the campaign begins for good.

At first though, Robertson will likely be playing second fiddle to James Milner, who’s become one of Klopp’s trusted lieutenants, despite splitting the fanbase.

In this respect, the transfer makes sense. Bring Robertson in for the reported £8m, sell Moreno for near £15m – and we’ve made money while injecting fresh impetus and talent into the squad.
