LFC refuse to meet Barca delegates; ‘No Sale’ stance on Coutinho made clearer

Posted by

Barcelona’s delegates have not met Liverpool’s hierarchy in England, despite Spanish reports claiming as much..

In fact, the Brazilian is not for sale under any circumstances and Melissa Reddy in Goal is suggesting Liverpool have alerted Barcelona we will not sit round a table – as there’s simply nothing to discuss.

Coutinho will not be sold, at any price, this summer, so the fact Barcelona are willing to spend £109m on our no.10 is inconsequential.

Any articles you’ve read to the contrary are poorly researched and based upon Spanish or Brazilian claims – which have been published to directly unsettle the player with Barcelona’s blessing.

It happens with Real Madrid and Barcelona all the time. Infamously, Marca once posted an article about Gareth Bale being unhappy in London which was quite literally copy and pasted from an article about Luka Modric wanting out of Spurs, too.

Obviously, both those players ended up in Spain, but this summer, Coutinho isn’t going to.
