This was one of those times, reminding us of the ‘What are they smoking at the Emirates?’ tweet brilliantly delivered by John Henry in 2013.
Today, FSG released a statement via the official website which was one sentence long, confirming in no uncertain terms that Coutinho is NOT for sale.
(Which to be fair, we’ve been telling anyone who’ll listen all summer…)

Barcelona can move swiftly along, sign Ousmane Dembele for filthy money, and leave us alone.
We cannot imagine they’ll have the cheek to submit another offer, but if they do, it’ll be rejected even faster than the £90m one which dropped two days ago.
