Today, they submitted their third offer of the transfer window for Coutinho, said to be up to €125m (£114m). Liverpool though, as they have with the first two – immediately rejected the offer and reminded our Spanish friends that the Brazilian is not for sale.

Before Coutinho handed in his transfer request, exactly a week ago today, Liverpool released a statement which categorically stated that our no.10 will not be sold this window.
The player wants to leave, but he’s contracted until 2021 and we’re in a position of power.
It’s the World Cup next year, and once he accepts that he won’t be allowed to depart, we have a feeling his ‘sore back’ will get better and he’ll get back into the team.
