Liverpool in three-way battle for bargain £32million World Cup winner

Liverpool might not be finished adding to their attacking force just yet due to the surprise availability of Julian Draxler.

The attacking midfielder was recently told by current club Paris Saint-Germain that he was no longer wanted, and has subsequently been put up for sale.

Draxler has seemingly become victim to the £198million arrival of Neymar from Barcelona, with the Brazilian having immediately taken his place in the starting lineup.

Liverpool are now battling with Manchester United and Arsenal for the 23-year-old, who can be bought for £32million, according to the Mirror.

Most Reds will undoubtedly agree, if you’re Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool- you jump at this kind of opportunity.

£32million for a man with experience in a successful international team such as Germany’s, experience in the Champions League, and experience in a star-studded PSG side- it’s a no brainer.

Bolstering the team’s strength in depth was a primary aim at the start of this transfer window and that’s exactly what someone like Draxler promises.

The regularity at which injuries have disrupted Liverpool’s setup and form makes another attacking recruit necessary rather than a misguided priority.

He has the physicality capable of helping him adapt quickly to England’s top flight, the versatility to thrive in Klopp’s system and the technical ability to become yet another source of assists and goals in a team that has a tendency to share the workload.

It hasn’t quite worked out for him at the French club, but life under Klopp is a different story for any player.

A signing like Draxler instantly lifts spirits.
