One Liverpool fan thinks he has found the answer to Roberto Firmino’s unusual goal celebration in Wednesday night’s win over Hoffenheim.
Anfield played stage to not only a breathtaking attacking display from Jurgen Klopp’s men but also some entertainment from the Reds No.9.
The Brazilian honoured his second half strike in typically inventive fashion, partially lowering his shorts before producing a dance few Reds will have seen before.

It marked the kind of celebration fans have come to expect from the exuberant forward, but the kind that has made him an undisputed favourite on Merseyside.
So, where did the dance come from? If the supporter in question is correct, Firmino took inspiration from a very familiar samba legend.
Okay so I found out what he was doing. He was copying Ronaldinho’s celebration from 2013, this is beautiful pic.twitter.com/UI0qHDTZbL

A celebration, no matter who it’s by, becomes more accepted if someone like Ronaldinho has previously been seen doing it.
That said, Firmino could have got away with anything thanks to his stunning display on the night to help Liverpool secure a place in the Champions League group stages.
Let’s hope it’s the same again when Arsenal come to Anfield on Sunday.
