Revealed: What Klopp said to Sevilla Assistants in heated post-match row

There was a bit of bad blood in last night’s second-half…

Sevilla’s boss was sent off for twice throwing the ball away and Joe Gomez was also given his marching orders for a second yellow late on.

During the final 20 minutes, the Spanish coaches who took charge when Eduardo Barizzo left the dugout continuously gave Klopp a hard time – even though our manager had nothing to do with it.

On Full Time, the bald-headed Sevilla assistant went for Klopp, but was pulled away and dragged down the tunnel.

Klopp, confused and a little angry himself, repeatedly asked: ‘What have I done?! Why are you shouting? Why are you shouting? I didn’t send him off!’ before telling the Sevilla coach, ‘Don’t touch me!’

It’s hard watching Klopp frustrated. He’s not a manager who picks fights with opposition bosses – he’s just extremely passionate on the touchline.

Perhaps the Spaniards took this the wrong way, but as Klopp told them, the red-card had nothing to do with him.

More fuel to the fire for the return leg, we suppose…
