Liverpool approached by Netflix for Fly-On-The-Wall Documentary

The world’s two biggest streaming services, Netflix and Amazon Prime, have approached Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea about making a fly on the wall documentary, charting our season, reports the Daily Mail.

Liverpool infamously agreed to the Being Liverpool documentary, which aired at the beginning of Brendan Rodgers’ tenure in 2012. The argument with Raheem Sterling was the series’ most famous moment and was actually discussed as a reason for his eventual exit in 2015.

According to the report, the streaming services see an enormous market in the Premier League, because they’ve had huge success making similar programmes for American Sports teams.

They have a budget of £15m per hour’s worth of programming to spend – more than the £11m per match Sky Sports spends on the Premier League.

Although the financial opportunities seem enormous, we’d probably prefer Liverpool steered clear – considering the negative fallout following the last one…

Also, we reckon Jurgen Klopp would hate it!
