LFC’s Brazilian to face Everton in 9 days’ time at Goodison Park

Last night, Liverpool’s Brazilian midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza made his debut for his latest loan club Apollon, who play in the Cypriot league.

The 20-year-old has spent time in Finland, Belgium and Germany, but was quickly offloaded to Cyprus at the end of this window as we desperately needed him somewhere in Europe to continue his pursuit of a work permit…

He made his debut for Apollon last night, impressing in a 4-2 victory over Ermis, but where we’ll be watching him most closely is the Europa League…

And on September 28th, Apollon travel to Merseyside to face Everton in the Group Stages, having already drawn with Lyon at home.

It’s not often we tune in to watch our neighbours, but if Allan’s starting, it would be great to check him out against the kind of Premier League opposition he’d be up against if he ever made the grade at Liverpool.

His talent is big, but the Cypriot league is poor, so the only fair judge of his ability will be in European games of such ilk.
