Real Madrid already eyeing LFC’s £34m superstar

Real Madrid have shortlisted Liverpool winger Sadio Mane, reports Spanish outlet OkDiario.

He arrived from Southampton in 2016 for £34m, but has been nothing short of sensational since the move.

The Senegalese flyer is currently suspended from domestic duty for the red card he picked up against Manchester City two weekends ago and will miss today’s important Premier League tie with Leicester City as a result.

But when he’s been available this term, he’s been nothing short of sensational, rightly winning August’s Premier League Player of the Month award as a result.

Starting on the left wing but given licence to roam centrally and run behind the opposition backline, Mane provides pace, skill, creativity and consistent end product.

By some distance, we’d regard him as our best player, including Coutinho and the newly arrived Mo Salah.

We’re not surprised Real Madrid want him, but if we refused to sell Coutinho for £118m, there’s no way Mane would be made available either.

A club would likely have to break the £200m world-record fee PSG paid for Neymar!

He’s going nowhere, in short.
