The other day, Virgil van Dijk predicted Liverpool would make it further than any other English club in the Champions League and has now carried on his love from afar with some comments on Daniel Sturridge.
The Dutchman, who remains our primary defensive target having been unable to capture him in the summer, lauded Sturridge when asked who the hardest forward to face in the Premier League!

Considering Sturridge is a sub for Liverpool and the likes of Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero et al are dominating the goalscoring charts, this is praise indeed!
We’re taking it as a not so subtle hint that the 26-year-old is still desperate for a Liverpool switch!
He’s back in Southampton’s first-team now, but still has aspirations to leave the south coast and play for a club with Champions League ambitions.
We really hope that at some point they allow him his wish.
