Champions League winning Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann has savaged Dejan Lovren on Twitter, after it was revealed the Croat has to take pills to get through matches.

Lovren has struggled with various injuries throughout his Anfield tenure, but fans were perhaps not fully aware of the extent of his problems until now.
“I am taking pills so I can play – five before every game. I play but I cannot train at all. That’s why I skipped matches against Manchester City and Burnley,” the centre-back told the Guardian.

Lovren’s not brilliant – but he’s honest and as long as he’s wearing Liverpool red – we’ll support him.
Abusing him online for cheap retweets doesn’t do the player or the club any good.
