LFC linked with 20-year-old AMC with poor stats

We don’t understand this transfer rumour at all.

Multiple publications, including the Echo, are linking Liverpool with Sheffield United’s attacking midfielder David Brooks.

The 20-year-old has started three Championship games this term and come off the bench in a further six, scoring no goals but registering two assists.

Brooks has just been called into the Wales squad for the first time and could make his debut during the upcoming international break, but we’re not sure why Liverpool would be interested.

In Ben Woodburn, we have a far more talented Welshman who plays in the exact same position, is two years younger and currently cannot make it onto our bench, so why would we pursue another?

Buying Brooks would see the youngster go from getting minutes in the Championship to toiling in the Under-23 league; an undeniable step down.

The best thing for him is to continue learning his trade for the Blades. Once he starts regularly scoring and assisting, we can have perhaps have another look.
