The 20-year-old dislocated his shoulder in his last match for Fulham and will now miss a chunk of the season for the team he chose to play for on loan this campaign.

The player tweeted the news yesterday:

At one stage it looked like Ojo was the most talented and promising of our Academy players, but Ben Woodburn, Trent Alexander-Arnold and the newly arrived Dominic Solanke have usurped him.

Ojo got Premier League minutes under Jurgen Klopp during the 2015/16 season, but played zero last term and has been sent to the Championship this.

Technically and physically, Ojo has all the attributes required to become a top winger, but so did Jordon Ibe – and he couldn’t make the Anfield grade either.

For Ojo, he needs consistent game-time and to take risks during matches. When we’ve seen him, he doesn’t use his pace or power and doesn’t take the game by the scruff of the neck.

If he doesn’t succeed at Fulham this term, it might be time for him to move on.
