One Liverpool fan had his dream come true on Friday as he got the chance to meet his biggest hero.
The young Kopite was lucky enough to run into Anfield legend and now U18s manager Steven Gerrard, presumably at the Kirkby Academy.
Any nerves were instantly shelved as little Alfie did what all Reds wish they could do by hugging the former Liverpool captain.
It proved to be a welcomed reminder of the impact Gerrard has had on supporters over the years, and the connection he continues to share with them.
The special moment will undoubtedly live long in the memory of the aspiring Stevie G, not to mention being something to show off about at school on Monday.

A visibly cheery Gerrard enjoyed a pleasing Friday as he watched his U18s team cruise to a 4-1 friendly win over Burnley.
Their next game comes in the form of an away trip to face Maribor in the UEFA Youth League on October 17.
A young fan meeting his idol is what it’s all about.
