(Video) Rhian Brewster scores sublime Coutinho-esque free-kick for England U17s

Rhian Brewster is the latest young Red to put his name in lights on the international stage.

The Liverpool star is currently representing England’s U17s at the World Cup in India, where the Young Lions will be looking to build on a successful summer.

Brewster was at hand to put his side 1-0 up against Mexico with a stunning free-kick that Philippe Coutinho himself would be proud of.

The striker gave fans a reminder of why he is so highly-regarded on Merseyside and why he has been tipped as the next to be given his shot in the senior team.

Having lost in the U17 European Championship final in May, Brewster and England will be looking to go one better this time round and, in turn, match the achievement of the U20 side that won the World Cup back in June.

After Brewster’s opener, Manchester City’s Phil Foden doubled England’s lead before Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho made it three from the penalty spot.

Despite a late fight back from Mexico, Steve Cooper’s side held on for a 3-2 win.

Here’s a look at the Liverpool man’s superb effort…
