We’re hoping it inspires both the fans and the players and Klopp has paid his own tribute to perhaps our most famous servant.

Klopp did admit though that when he first arrived on Merseyside his English wasn’t good enough to understand Kenny’s thick Scottish accent – so their initial encounters were rather brief!

“He was here yesterday. It was nice to have a chat. What a wonderful guy he is. A big role model,” Klopp began, cited in the Echo.

“But now I understand his Scottish, we have real conversations…. At the beginning it was just smiling!”

It’s a fantastic decision by FSG to honour Dalglish for everything he did for us as a player and manager.

Nobody embodies what’s brilliant about Liverpool on a footballing and personal level as well as the King.

A win against our most hated rivals would make the occasion all the more special, mind.
