LFC could offload ace [25] to Everton in shock transfer

Now this would be a turn up for the books, and surely something Liverpool wouldn’t allow, we’d have presumed…

Teamtalk are ‘exclusively’ reporting that Everton want our forgotten forward Danny Ings and could make a loan bid for the Englishman in January.

The 25-year-old is actually fully fit and has been all campaign, but can get nowhere near Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice XI – with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke ahead of him in the fight for one central spot.

That’s before mentioning Divock Origi, who’s on loan at Wolfsburg but has ambitions of returning next season.

The report says Gareth Southgate has told Ings he could get in England’s World Cup squad if he secures a loan move this coming winter to a Premier League club and bangs in goals during the second half of the season.

If we were Ings, we’d be clucking for any kind of transfer away at the nearest possible opportunity, and it’s a testament to his character that he’s not kicked up any kind of fuss.

But Liverpool will surely send him to one of various bottom-half sides, bar our city rivals…

They could well be in a relegation battle this term. Why would we want to help them?

Let Ings score them for Watford, Burnley or Stoke instead.
