Liverpool battered Maribor tonight.
It was 7-0, but in truth, it could have been anything. Our opponents were awful but we were very, very good.

Here’s how we rated the players in what was our highest EVER European away win!
Karius – 6/10 – One simple save. That was it.
Trent – 7/10 – Countless overlaps down the right. Solid. Bagged at the end!
Moreno – 8/10 – Impressive again. Bombs down the left at will but has improved defensively, not that he had to do anything at the back tonight. One very nice assist.
Matip – 6/10 – Such an easy night for Joel. Cruised.
Lovren – 6/10 – Two clean-sheets in a row for Liverpool! Lovren solid.
Can – 8/10 – Intercepted plenty and dominated the middle of the park in the no.6 role.
Milner – 9/10 – Industrious, dynamic, all-action performance with a genuinely high quality final ball. Has staked a claim for a role in midfield with this performance.
Wijnaldum – 6/10 – Almost scored his first away goal, but not quite. Most quiet of the central three.
Salah – 9/10 – Pace, quality and invention. Scored two, made another. Bagged his one-on-one from a tight angle, which was great to see! Eight for the season, now.
Coutinho – 9/10 – Simply too easy for the Brazilian. At times, he was trying to do things just to see if he could. Maribor couldn’t get near him. His side-foot finish was lovely.
Firmino – 9/10 – A brace for the Brazilian, including a tap in and a header. Would have likely bagged a hat-trick if Klopp left him on.
SUBS:
Oxlade-Chamberlain – 8/10 – One nice run and shot in which he was unlucky, but notched with his second attempt.
Sturridge – 6/10 – Quite static, but assisted Ox excellently.
Solanke – 5/10 – No time to get involved.
