This is one of the more enjoyable transfer rumours we’ve written up in recent weeks!
Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, kindly translated by Sport Witness, claim that Club Brugge star Marvelous Nakamba is dreaming of a Liverpool transfer to please his parents – who are huge fans!
The 23-year-old recently won the Belgian league’s Player of the Month award and is naturally being touted around Europe as a result.
But the report boldly suggests his heart is set on an Anfield switch.
Nakamba, who we’d much prefer to refer to by his first name Marvelous, is a fixture in Brugge’s midfield, playing nine domestic games and two in the Europa League so far this term.
He’s not only combative, but has underrated technical qualities and quickness of thought.
His best attributes are his passing and tackling, making him very much an all-action midfielder.
Nakamba only arrived in Belgium this summer from Vitesse in Holland, where he’d spent three seasons. Before that, he played for Nancy in France but was underused.
In truth, this is about all we know of Nakamba and there are no suggestions Liverpool are interested.
Still, if he keeps performing to such a high level perhaps we’ll keep tabs on him in the future!
Good luck, Marvelous!
