Everton legend tells Koeman: Be like Klopp

Secretly, Everton fans would love Jurgen Klopp in charge at Goodison Park.

He’s likeable, plays good football and nurtures young players.

They’d be a match made in heaven!

Thankfully, the German wants to win stuff and is trying to do so with Liverpool…

His counterpart across Stanley Park Ronald Koeman is enduring a very difficult season, with many supporters now turning on the Dutchman.

Everton sit joint 17th, but Koeman’s demeanour is sour and negative – which undeniably trickles through to the fanbase.

Alan Stubbs, one of Everton’s Premier League legends, has asked Koeman to be more like Klopp and develop a rapport with the supporters!

“With Ronald, there seems to be a real lack of connection between him and the fans,” Stubbs told Starsport. “There doesn’t seem to be a bond.

“You see Klopp with the Liverpool fans, he seems to get it.

“With Koeman and the Everton fans, it seems to be a cold relationship.

“We all have different personalities but there doesn’t seem to be a connection between the manager and the fans right now.

“I don’t think he’s ever going to be like Klopp because he wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s a very emotional manager who seems to be in the game.”

Hearing these quotes from a rival should remind us how lucky we are to have Klopp.

He wants to win the right way and shares the ethos of Liverpool Football Club and the supporters.

We’re top of our Champions League Group and actually only two points off the top four – not bad for a supposedly poor start to the season.

Koeman, on other hand, won’t be in the hot-seat at Christmas unless results turn.
