Peter Moore’s done an excellent job since taking charge, especially in his communication with fans on social media.
He actually agreed to give us an interview earlier in the season, but the club wouldn’t allow it!
But when the team’s performances are not going well, he’s one of those on Twitter who are consistently bombarded by ‘supporters’. John W Henry and his wife Linda are two who also bear the brunt.
Yesterday, Moore was quite rightly celebrating Ben Woodburn’s new contract, but had to field responses about our dire central defensive situation instead.
@duin11 asked if Woodburn could play CB and Moore took the bait, as it were:
Maybe you can this young man the respect he deserves and not use this great day in his life to fuel whatever personal agenda you may have ?? https://t.co/rrRHKd3lCw

Moore’s right in that Woodburn’s new contract is not a place for negative vibes, but we’re not sure his response especially helps, to be fair.
Liverpool have well and truly messed up with their failure to improve a defence which has been useless since 2013.
However, transfers and team selection has nothing to do with him, so Twitter users should really remember this before typing.
Twitter is a great place when Liverpool are winning, but is becoming an increasingly unhelpful, vitriolic place when we are not.
