When you first saw Trent Alexander-Arnold in his pink boots, you may have been a little confused.
Was this just a teenager being especially extravagant – perhaps a bit ‘Big Time Charlie’..?
Not in the slightest, actually.
Alexander-Arnold is one of the players who’s decided to wear pink boots to raise awareness for breast cancer.
The young right-back told LFCTV it’s a cause close to his heart because his auntie – whose name he also has stitched onto the boot – suffered the dreadful disease.
Well done, Trent.
We expect the right-back to play on Wednesday against Maribor at Anfield, following Joe Gomez’s start at the weekend.
He’s been very promising this term and we hope to see another impressive performance.
Who knows – perhaps we’ll see his third Champions League goal, to boot!
