Klopp ‘makes personal phone call’ to Mignolet replacement who’s won Champions League

Florentino Perez has always wanted a marquee name between Madrid’s sticks, and despite Zinedine Zidane’s faith in Navas – still longs for David de Gea, Thibaut Courtois or Kepa at the end of this season.

They claim that Klopp has sent out the feelers out to Navas to make sure Anfield is his next destination – following his consecutive Champions League triumphs.

Put it this way: he’s a big improvement on what we currently have available – but could go the way of Claudio Bravo in the Premier League.

That’s a keeper without big physical attributes found out in a competition that relies much more heavily on set-pieces.
