Rafa Benitez plans January Liverpool raid; and it’s got our support…

Newcastle are eyeing a January deal for Danny Ings, the Chronicle reports.

They claim that our former manager Rafa Benitez wants more firepower at St. James’ Park and will ask Liverpool to loan the Englishman when the winter transfer window opens.

Ings is 25-years-old but hasn’t made a single match-day squad for us this term and has instead been resigned to U23 appearances.

He’s below Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke in our pecking order and his chances of becoming a regular unfortunately look slim to none.

Ings has been battling horrible injuries ever since Jurgen Klopp took over but has similarly not been given a proper chance to prove himself when fit.

We want him to enjoy the successful career he deserves and believe Newcastle could be the perfect club for him.

If he does well, we can either give him one final crack in 2018/19 or sell him at a profit.

There’s no use allowing him to rot in our reserves anymore, even if he did score four goals on his last outing for them.
