Nathaniel Clyne has had surgery for his back problem and won’t be available until February time, at current estimations.
The Englishman hasn’t played for us since last season and many supporters are becoming increasingly confused by his absence and the fact he hasn’t given an interview on his situation.
When Jon Flanagan or Danny Ings have been out for months on end, they’ve been vocal and positive in the press, but Clyne’s vanished from public eye.
For the record, at EOTK, we’re very confident there’s nothing suspicious going on and Clyne is handling his unfortunate injury in the manner he wants.
That being said, the internet is currently fuelled with rumours that he’s not injured and there’s some cover-up going on.
It would help if the player gave an interview or the club gave us more information on exactly what’s happening – to put the rubbish to bed.
Here’s some of the mixed reaction to the news when it broke last night:
Nathaniel Clyne out for a further 3 months is a huge loss for us 👎
With the busy Christmas period coming up, it would have been good to be able to have more options 🔴 pic.twitter.com/kkW2Djbd9w

Nathaniel Clyne is out for another 3 months after undergoing surgery.
Get well soon, mate.
Thankfully we have two young right-backs to cover the Englishman.

Yeah big man. Can’t suddenly need back surgery 3 months into the season. Stinks of it

Did he take drugs??…

Just a question, why did he not have this surgery 3 months Ago? Why only Now?
— The Red man YNWA (@YNWAExile) November 13, 2017
Bullshit. It’s 100% drugs

What kind of back surgery? Back surgery can be vague/experimental and no guarantee that it gets issue fixed. This is very worrying

He should have just gone on a long haul flight to Brazil & back, worked a treat on Coutinho’s bad back!
