Alberto Moreno has truly had a very good season. That shouldn’t be forgotten, but to many Liverpool fans on Twitter, it’s simply not enough.
Some of the reaction to his mistakes that got former club Sevilla back into the game has been horrible, in truth – but we’ve published some of the slightly kinder ones. (Honestly…)
The Spaniard gave away a needless freekick which Sevilla scored from, then gave away a penalty after a poor touch. Jurgen Klopp sensibly hauled him off at this point, but unfortunately the hosts scored in injury-time to earn a well fought 3-3- draw.
The last time Moreno gifted Sevilla a victory, Klopp dropped him for an entire season.
It’ll be mighty interesting to see what the German decides to do now, with a massive clash against Chelsea set for the weekend and Moreno’s confidence likely shot.
