Liverpool are ‘leading the race’ for Club Brugge star Marvelous Nakamba, maybe the best named midfielder in football!
This is according to African Football, who state the 23-year-old Zimbabwean could be the man who replaces Emre Can, who’s leaving Liverpool on a Bosman.
Nakamba starts every game for the Belgian giants in central midfield, regarded as an extremely hard worker who also has ability in tight spaces.
The up and coming midfielder only moved to the Belgian league this summer, having previously spent three years in Holland at Vitesse.
In fairness, he’s currently nowhere near Emre Can’s level. The German is a regular for his country and is wanted by Juventus, but Nakamba has just a handful of caps for Zimbabwe.
Thankfully though, we’re already bringing in Naby Keita, someone we regard as better than Can.
On top of the Guinean though, we need to bring in another top level midfielder. Nakamba doesn’t have the pedigree yet to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s ranks.
