Liverpool star wants ‘verbal agreement’ to join Real Madrid

Cue a wave of nonsense transfer rumours linking Liverpool’s stars to Europe’s elite clubs.

Mohamed Salah was always bound to cement his place in the gossip column with his sparkling start to life at Liverpool.

The Egyptian registered his 21st goal of the season in Friday’s 3-3 draw with Arsenal and, in turn, extended his lead as the Premier League’s top scorer.

Liverpool’s marquee summer signing has been in stunning form since his arrival from Roma, thriving in his second spell in England and excelling as an integral component to Jurgen Klopp’s counterattacking setup and approach.

A string of superb performances have inevitably seen rumours conjured hinting at a future move to Real Madrid, who have been identified as avid admirers of the 25-year-old.

Salah himself is keen on a move to the Bernabéu and is eager to strike a verbal agreement, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.

Real manager Zinedine Zidane recently revealed his admiration for Salah, fuelling speculation surrounding a future collaboration.

Given the unreliability of the Spanish press when it has come to the Philippe Coutinho transfer saga, the latest development is unlikely to be one with too much substance.

The prospect of Liverpool’s little magician departing at some point over the next year undoubtedly rules out the sale of Salah.

In the short time he has been at the club, he has established himself as a key figure in Klopp’s plans on Merseyside and the next star capable of helping the Reds make strides towards mounting a serious title challenge.

We sure would love to know where the Spanish media get their information.
