English betting company Ladbrokes have stopped taking bets on Coutinho joining Barcelona this January.
Last night, Nike’s website accidentally announced that a deal had been completed, before deleting the text – which linked to a broken link where you could buy Coutinho Barca shirts.

The Catalans are desperate to acquire our Brazilian, but he played yesterday’s victory over Leicester, which he surely wouldn’t have done if a deal had been completed.
There’s no indication yet that suggests Coutinho would leave this winter. He wouldn’t be able to play in the Champions League for Barca, crucially, who hardly need him domestically as they’re running away with La Liga.
Gambling companies have suspended bets on plenty of things in the past, and this is actually just a reaction to the furore surrounding the Nike mistake, than it is down to any secret information.
Liverpool will eventually sell Phil to Barca, but surely not in the coming weeks.
