LFC given massive boost ahead of Manchester City clash

We might not be able to field Coutinho anymore, but who cares when you’ve got Mo Salah?!

The Egyptian phenomenon, who’s scored 22 goals in all competitions this season, is winning his race for fitness ahead of the Anfield clash with Manchester City.

This is according to a report this morning in the Echo by the reliable Neil Jones, who reckons the 25-year-old will return after two games out.

Salah’s brilliant season continues, Liverpool star lands another award

Salah’s last game was against Leicester in 2017, where a brace helped us clinch a vital Premier League victory.

However, he limped off with a groin issue and we’ve had to battle to victories over Burnley and Everton without him.

Our performances haven’t been great though, so to have Salah available again is absolutely key, especially with the exit of the Brazilian and the country’s best side visiting Anfield.

There’s no more Fab Four, but with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino alongside Salah, we’re more than capable of ripping any side to shreds.

Importantly, City will play an expansive brand of football – making the Anfield clash a potentially mouthwatering one.

We’d love to end their unbeaten run.
