LFC given three big boosts before Monday night Swansea clash

Liverpool could have THREE players who missed the Manchester City win back available in a few days’ time against Swansea City, reports the Echo.

First up, Virgil van Dijk is back and will surely start following the worrying defensive performance on Sunday, which was thankfully made up for by our elite offence. He missed the 4-3 with a slight hamstring problem, but Jurgen Klopp just didn’t want to risk him. Our £75m has been training perfectly all week.

Secondly, skipper Jordan Henderson is back training with the first-team slightly ahead of schedule, with earlier reports suggesting he’d be out until February. Emre Can has been excellent at no.6 though, so we don’t think the Englishman will return to the side instantly.

Thirdly, Spanish left-back Alberto Moreno is also in contention for a return. He missed the festive period crocked and will want to get back into the side to confirm a World Cup spot, but he’ll do well to dislodge the ever-improving Andrew Robertson.

The young Scot has emerged as a fans’ favourite and will remain in the side unless his form drops.

So while we only think van Dijk will enter the starting XI, Henderson and Moreno will bolster our bench greatly.

LFC predicted XI and subs: Karius; Gomez, Robertson, Matip, Van Dijk; Can, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wijnaldum; Mane, Salah, Firmino – Mignolet, Trent, Lovren, Milner, Lallana, Henderson, Solanke
