Sky Sports confirm exciting Liverpool transfer news

Liverpool are actively trying to sign Roma stopper Alisson, claim Sky Sports. 

Their report suggests ‘discussions are underway’ for the 26-year-old, who keeps net for Brazil ahead of Manchester City’s Ederson.

According to Sky, we spoke to Roma about a transfer in January, but they were not willing to consider his exit, but Liverpool will ask again in the summer.

Roma value the stopper at £62m, an astronomical price for a keeper.

But Liverpool proved with the £75m purchase of Virgil van Dijk that we’re happy to spend big money on the areas that require it…

Loris Karius has done largely well since he was given the no.1 spot, but the German needs a practically flawless end to the season to convince Klopp not to enter the transfer market.

Alisson is a superb shot stopper, is very fast to sprint out of his goal and seems to communicate well, so Liverpool fans should be pleased with this news.

But until the end of the season it’s our job to get behind Karius and see if he can prove everyone wrong…
