Piers Morgan weighs in with incredible Mohamed Salah claim

Even when one of Piers Morgan’s bold claim is in favour of Liverpool, it is still somewhat difficult to agree with.

The notorious Arsenal fan reacted to another remarkable day for Mohamed Salah on Saturday by suggesting the Egyptian is the best Premier League player since Gunners legend Thierry Henry.

Salah scored in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over West Ham to equal Luis Suarez’s 2013/2014 tally of 31 goals and break Robbie Fowler’s 1994 record for most left-footed goals in a Premier League season thanks to his 20th with his favoured foot.

Liverpool’s summer-signing has been a revelation since arriving from Roma, proving to be a perfect fit in Jurgen Klopp’s system and quashing doubts generated by a tough first spell in England with Chelsea.

His unforeseen prolific form has propelled him into Golden Boot contention alongside Harry Kane and served as a driving force behind the Reds’ fight for a top four finish.

Besides taking England my storm, he has also spearheaded Liverpool’s impressive Champions League campaign to assert himself as one of Europe’s most deadly attacking talents.

His magnificent impression refuses to be ignored, but it seems premature to call him the Prem’s best since Henry given the names that have plied their trade in England since the Frenchman.

Liverpool would certainly have one or two other contenders in that respect, as would the club’s top six rivals.

If he continues to threaten multiple scoring records like he has early on in his Anfield career, there’s no reason why he can’t one day boast a place in that conversation.
