‘Everton aren’t competition for us… they look up to us,’ reckons Gini Wijnaldum!
The Dutchman, sat alongside Joe Gomez, was speaking to John Aldridge last night about our upcoming clash with Manchester United and our local rivalry.
According to Gini, United is the biggest fixture, as we see him as them direct rivals, while Everton are never really on our level.
In fact, the last time they beat us in any competition was 2010, almost a decade ago!
