Roma goalkeeper Alisson has responded to speculation over his future amid transfer links with both Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Don’t get too excited, though, as the brilliant Brazilian seems to have eyes for Madrid if he is to leave Roma as he majorly fluttered his eyelids at the Spanish giants with his quotes.

Alisson has looked one of the finest goalkeepers in Europe this season and would unquestionably strengthen us if he were to make the move to Anfield.

Reports from AS also have us in contention to sign Atletico Madrid ‘keeper Jan Oblak, so a replacement for Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius does seem, unsurprisingly, to be a priority.

Alisson, however, addressed rumours involving Real Madrid and sounded pretty happy, making no mention of Liverpool, making it pretty clear we’d face a fight for his signature.

‘This is news that alter the ego, it can not be denied,’ he’s quoted in Marca.

‘People have satisfaction when they have recognition, I feel very happy to have that recognition, it means that I am doing my job well, that they are watching me, even more when one hears of Madrid.’

Liverpool’s interest in Alisson was reported by Sky Sports last month.
