Harry Wilson is tearing up trees in the Championship…

Since he agreed to join Hull on loan until the end of the season, the Welshman has almost singlehandedly saved them from relegation.

Hull have won four of their past six games, with five Wilson goals the highlight.

Liverpool’s Under-23 manager Neil Critchley has discussed Wilson’s credentials in depth, already acutely aware of his skills having managed him plenty for our second string.

“Harry has been absolutely phenomenal,” Critchley told Liverpoolfc.com.

“He has had an unbelievable couple of months and I’m delighted for him. He went away recently and had a fantastic time with his country, scoring on his first start for Wales on his 21st birthday, and now he can’t stop scoring goals.

“He is in a rich vein of form. He has gone to Hull City and made a huge difference to them – they have climbed the table. I’m delighted for him and hopefully he can continue that.

“I’m sure Harry has aspirations of being in and around our first team squad come pre-season.”

We’re convinced Wilson will finally become part of the first-team squad next season.

He’s simply too good for Jurgen Klopp to ignore for any longer. Our German boss has given more chances to Ben Woodburn, but Wilson is currently more deserving, we’d suggest.

A full pre-season will benefit him hugely, and if he can deal with the physicality of the Championship for a ‘struggling’ side so easily, we’re backing him to do the business in the Premier League.
