Liverpool choose world-class but ageing battler as Emre Can’s replacement – Report

Liverpool are being linked to Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal by Transfermarketweb.

The Express backs up the story and suggests the Chilean is a direct possible replacement for Emre Can, who plays both the no.6 and box-to-box roles at Anfield.

The second report suggests Vidal is surplus to requirements for Bayern because of the imminent arrival of Leon Goretzka, who’s signing from Schalke on a free transfer.

He’s now 30-years-old, but still has plenty to offer for top sides in an all-action, combative midfield role.

Emre Can is leaving Liverpool on a free transfer and due to his current back injury, he’s very unlikely to play for us again…

We’re already signing Naby Keita from Rb Leipzig, but our current problems in midfield show we need another body purchased this summer.

It’s not like Liverpool to sign players over 30, which makes us dubious of this report.

We think we’re much more likely to focus our attention on Jorginho, the Italian who’s currently starring for Napoli.

The Mirror linked us to the 26-year-old yesterday, after he liked a post on Instagram speaking up his chances of playing for Liverpool next term.
