It’s not often we praise Piers Morgan and what he’s got to say, especially when it’s about football!
But we’re quite fond of the regard in which he holds Mo Salah, Liverpool’s Egyptian megastar.

Yesterday, Morgan claimed that Salah is the best player England has seen since Thierry Henry, including Cristiano Ronaldo – who won the Ballon d’Or while at Manchester United.

It dragged many into an argument, but we’re all for it!
After all, Ronaldo’s best season at United saw him score 42 times in 2007/08, but Salah has at least five games to better that tally – already on 41 himself.
He’s also hit double figures for assists – all in his first season at Liverpool for a side who is not anywhere near as complete as Alex Ferguson’s United – who Ronaldo played for.
We just hope Mo does the business tonight, on the biggest stage.
Liverpool host AS Roma at Anfield, needing a positive result before going back to the cauldron that is Stadio Olimpico next week.
