At the beginning of the Champions League campaign, Roy Keane couldn’t help himself when it came to Liverpool…
He had the audacity to slam our defence despite a 3-0 win over Maribor, and then claimed we ‘hadn’t beaten anybody’ after the 7-0 Spartak Moscow demolition.
But last night, after Liverpool confirmed progress to the Champions League Final after a 7-6 aggregate win over AS Roma, the former Manchester United star accepted we deserved to be there.

He did still find a way to have a go, of course, claiming that Trent Alexander-Arnold had a ‘nightmare’ and that Loris Karius is poor – but based on last night – he has a point.
Those two young players will have to come up against Real Madrid in just over three weeks’ time.
Real will likely be rubbing their hands, but so were Manchester City, and those two were exceptional in the quarters.
Liverpool have been proving pundits and opposition fans wrong all season and we back them to continue doing so come May 26th.
