Roberto Firmino’s season heatmap is a joke – especially compared to Lukaku

Following our final match of the season against Brighton, Premier League legend Thierry Henry labelled Roberto Firmino “the most complete forward in the league,” [Metro].

“I’m not talking about the best finisher or the best work rate, I’m talking about all round. The most complete in the league,” he added.

And he’s 100% correct.

Bobby scored 15 goals in the PL, which when you look at it on the surface, is not an enormous amount.

However, he’s notched 27 in all competitions thanks to his scintillating Champions League form, so the arguments about him ‘not being able to finish’ are plain wrong.

But it’s the Brazilian’s all-round contribution in the final third that sees him rated above so many forwards who find the back of the net more often than him.

Compare him, for example, to Romelu Lukaku.

In the tweet below, you’ll see their respective heat-maps for 2017/18.

The Belgian also has 27 goals this term, but it’s not really up for debate about which player offers more to their side, is it?
